I have SPORE but I haven't logged in since the change to force everyone on Origin. I'd like to play it again but just no.

I have SPORE but I haven't logged in since the change to force everyone on Origin. I'd like to play it again but just no.

I have spore on steam and it doesn't force me to use origin.... it just converted that account to an Origin account (meaning your login and password still work only now it's "Origin"). That was really the only reason I had an origin account in the first place, and they probably did that so they could claim inflated numbers for the shareholders... sorta like how Google did with Google+.... I doubt anyone who hated it before is really loving it now, and just because they have an account doesn't mean they have to ever actually use it.

Before that origin bundle I had like 2 games on origin and that was only because they gave me a copy there since I had it on steam.

Anyway, if you want to play spore, I don't think they're going to force you to use Origin... just log in and pretend it doesn't exist (because for all it matters, it doesn't need to exist for you). Now if they're trying to force you to use the origin client when you didn't need it before, that's bull, but I can't see why they'd do that when they didn't for the steam version of the game.

15, half of which are just copied over from Steam and several I got in a humber bunderu I never plan on actually playing.

The only ones I actually have installed and ever play are all the Bioware games, so in that sense I have 6 games on there. Origin is just a big fat launcher for Bioware games to me. I don't like it though, they always crash on start up when I try to run it through steam big picture so its this token presence on my rig that refuses to be apart of my beautiful HTPC Steam Garden.

Just 2

Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 1942 (already have the disc version, but I have the digital version too now because it's free and why not)

Only the ones from the Humble Bundle I couldn't get on Steam. Only game I'll ever buy from there is ME3 since Steam doesn't have it, and I'll wait for the N7 or whatever it's called edition to be $5.
