Is BF4 patched enough to be playable and worth $25?

Not really playable for me. Had massive issues with crashing since release. Have 15 hours playtime and am only level 7. That's how many games i've been able to finish.

I'll wait until another patch before diving in again but i won't be holding my breathe.

Been playing since launch and have noticed all the giant, frustrating issues are all gone for me. I'd say it's worth it.

I appreciate all the responses. I ended up buying it. I figure even if I don't install it right away that gives EA more time to resolves issues by the time that I do.

I have a GTX 470 and play at 1080p. I had no problems playing BF3, this game has basically about the same performance, correct? I am planning to buy a new GPU in the spring anyways, hopefully Nvidia will have their next gen of cards out by then.

Not even close. On my 550TI i could play battlefield 3 at 108p on medium at 50-60fps. Battlefield 4 had to look like this http://i.imgur.com/DfO10LI.png, and still only got 20fps.

It's completely unplayable for me atm. It was fine until the latest patch.

I've been able to play fine. I get a rare crash here and there but not lately.

You can't judge final game performance from the open beta.
The beta played much, MUCH worse on my rig compared to the retail game.

WTF?!? I know the lowest settings would look bad but not THAT bad. That looks even worse than a late 90s shooter.
