The files don't go through the internet, the speed of your internet is irrelevant.

you can use an ethernet cable to connect them and make sure you enable network sharing. file transfer speed may be better than doing it through your wireless router --- SMELL THE GASOLINE I LIGHT THE FIRE INSIDE
