What you could buy the code for 2 months ago has zero baring on what you can buy the code for today. I fail to understand the logic in this line of thinking

If someone buys a .50 cent pack of baseball cards from the store and finds a Mickey Mantle rookie card, will people refuse to pay market value for the card because he got it from a .50 pack of cards? I can understand the point but something I'll fail to understand is why people hold codes from older humble bundles to be worth far less than the base cost of the game. Especially when it's month's after that bundle took place.

It's a game he can place whatever value he wants to on it. If someone wants that game and agrees to his price, how is that any concern of yours?

Although I highly doubt you'll find someone willing to trade you a minecraft code for the DS3 code all things considered.
