Anyone mind checking if this build is going to work?

It says no compatibility issues, but I want to be certain before I take the plunge. Thanks!

Only thing I can think of is Piledriver only supports up to like 1833 MHz RAM and you seem to have purchased some fast RAM. I should mention the RAM will still work anyways it will just underclock itself so in reality everything is still compatible.

Cheap 500 dollar build. nice.

We can bump down the RAM if you have a recommendation. Which part is the Piledriver? Sorry, kinda new to this, just been using the site to hold my hand.

Your CPU uses the Piledriver architecture unless I'm mistaken. (if I am someone correct me)

The RAM is fine though, because it seems cheap. If you can find 1600mhz RAM for cheaper though, go with that instead. I mean you can probably find the same brand and model etc. and it may be cheaper. If it's the same price, just stick with what you have it shouldn't matter.

Also at first I thought you were experienced and this was a special build... it now seems like you're new at this. Was this just a build you think is great? It's definitely cheap at 500 bucks but the performance won't be anything insane.

If your budget was about 700 instead of 500, you could get some Intel in there and it would be a decent mid to high end machine if you upgraded your GPU in the next year or two etc.

Oops, I just noticed your GPU doesn't have the price listed and doesn't seem to be added in the final price....

So without looking it up that 5770 is like at least 100 bucks right so your build will now be 600+ and you're left with a piledriver CPU and a 5770... yikes

My bad, should've specified -- the 5770 is free. It's a leftover from a separate build.

It's a build my friend is making -- I'm giving him the free 5770 from my old rig to get him started, he's got $500 to spend elsewhere. Open to suggestions if there are problems aside from the 5770 being oldish.

If all he has is 500 bucks I think it's a decent rig since the GPU is free. Will run all new games on average settings I would imagine. I don't really have the time to refine the build but from glancing at the parts they all seemed fine. Someone else here may have more insight on specific deals for parts etc.
