Recommend me a good laptop

I've been using a 2002 laptop since a few weeks ago because it stopped functioning well.

I currently use is an iMac 2007 and you can imagine how tired and frustrated I am for not being able to play my games to their full potential and always have to reduce everything to almost none existing graphics or performances, ex: (600 x 800) -.-

I think it's time for an upgrade.
This is what I had in mind.

I not only need it for a games but most important to be able to handle most of 3D design and rendering software.

I would like if it's a laptop because I need to be able to transport my work.

Will this do or do you suggest me anything else?
I have a budget of $700.

Thank you in advance.
May the force be with you. lol

You need to double your budget to get to the bare minimum of what you're looking for.

The z580 only has an integrated graphics solution so you'll be struggling in demanding games and all 3D design applications. You'll need a system with a discrete GPU. Your budget is on the light side, so I would look at the Ideapad Y series, specifically the Y510p or Y410p. Those models will have a discrete GPU which, while not particularly powerful, will be suitable for most games and 3D applications.
