Liking Windows 8.1 so far

Much faster than Windows Vista. And a responsive OS, despite all the charms and tiles. Sure, a little extra learning was required, but overall, I like it.

I started loving windows 8.1 when I decided to download Start8 and get my start bar back. But it does perform a lot faster on my SSD than windows 7 did

It's nice, but on a laptop, the multi-touch features freeze up every once-in-a-while. That is, with a mouse, not one of those touch screen guys.

8.1 messed up everything. I liked 8 more.

Apart from the Start button, it's a great update.

I like the charms bar better than the start button now.

I thought 8 was just alright, but with 8.1 it got way better. Now I'm really digging the OS.
Also, if you use Steam get the app Pin Steam. Makes the the start screen look quite good

Is Start8 that much better than classic shell? I use that and love it.

I think Start8 is much better. It's a perfect reproduction of the start menu. If you didn't know any better, you wouldn't even think that it wasn't official.
