If you're talking about the music at http://thepropheteer.com/, which might be "Cars", which was made in 1979 by Gary Numan, considering the likely location of the next Fallout, The Institute, I'd say that the music fits better than most 1930s-1950s music would. Plus "Big Iron", one of the songs in Fallout: New Vegas was made in 1959.
