Somewhere devs got stupid and started requiring x360 controllers and instead of improving controller compatibility, completely destroyed it and all controller innovation.

Also, for some reason, devs seem to feel DirectX is still better than OpenGL, even though OpenGL is better supported than DirectX and performs better.

They didn't think that. They thought, "Hey, instead of letting Valve have some of the profits from our game sales, let's just sell them on our own platform and get all the money." Which is basically what every big company wants. More money.

That's because Ubisoft hates their PC customers. To them were all all just dirty pirates and are no value to them.

I don't think EA has that much love for PC gamers also. Origin is not as bad as when it first launched *shudders* but it could be a lot better if they allocated there resources to it. We need good competition in the PC market not lazy competition like Origin and Uplay

Because your ideal standards are always going to be higher than what's affordable. You can buy a 200 dollar graphics card and play any nearly any game for years, but you've come to expect 1080p and 60 FPS and necessary. 720p at 30 FPS is perfectly playable, console users did it for years, but because you've spent more money on better things your standards changed.

Companies that do early access games WRONG. You get the core of the game ready, enough to be playable if short and maybe lacking the polish and such it will have by release.

Like, Kerbal Space Program is an example of it done right. You have the basics down, its playable, and you have some small goals and such so it isn't just purely a tech demo or something.

Think of it like a demo that gets more and more of the final game added as it gets closer to release.
