How hard would it be to color the black cooler on my HIS to white? I wont color the fan and so far, I am getting mixed results from my search attempts. Its iceq edition with the single fan and massive cooler.

The problem with what you want to do is the fan.
Paint/powder coating will add weight to the fan, and in most cases will throw off its balance, which can make it perform worse and shorten its life a lot.

It shouldn't hurt anything to color the rest of the cooler housing besides the fan, but I wouldn't color the fan itself.

Believe me, I know your pain; I've spent way too much time looking for a red fan with comparable static pressure and radiator performance to Gentle Typhoon AP-15's, but the AP-15 is still miles ahead.

EDIT: Sorry didn't see the part about not coloring the fan.

What cooler are you trying to color now? Is it for the CPU or GPU? I was thinking GPU.

if you were to paint the heatsink itself you would ruin its thermal properties. so dont do that.

Really, even a light type of paint? The black is so dull and I wanted to make it white :|

as in, don't paint the metal fins or the heat pipes of the heatsink itself. painting the shroud is fine, its just cosmetic.
Insert generic offensive/slightly racist/holier than thou/fanboy/douchebag/elitist comment here.

Yeah, I should have clarified a bit. I only plan on painting the black shroud and nothing else. I wont risk damaging the card by painting the board or any of the components.
