Question about the Steambox streaming.

#1arob22Posted 12/6/2013 9:04:27 AM
Let's say you have a game on that your gaming pc that's good enough to run a game but but not high end. Now your steambox is high end and can run games on ultra settings and what not. If you stream the game from that pc is gonna look like it would on that pc or is it gonna enhance the graphics to the steambox setting and look better.

It would be entirely run by the windows machine, not the steamos machine. That's what it means to stream. steam, stream, a stream of steam, steam off the hot spring stream. kby.

When streaming, the game's performance will depend on the horsepower of the device you're streaming from, regardless if your Steambox is a monster or a potato.

Why not just play the game on your stream box?

Because it runs Linux, because your normally computer is better, etc, etc.

But he specifically said his steambox has higher end specs. Although it could be that his steambox doesn't have Windows and he's trying to run a Windows game.
