Will removing Windows 8.1 and installing Windows 7 void my laptop's warranty?

I recently got a Toshiba laptop and the hardware on it is pretty good, but I hate Windows 8.1 and I feel that it is ruining some games.

I doubt it, but you may not be able to find Windows 7 drivers for some of the hardware in your laptop.

games actually run better under 8.1
While I may not agree with your opinion, I will defend to the death your right to have it.

A lot of people are having problems with League of Legends running on Windows 8.1.

It shouldn't.

And ya can't blame you, Windows 8 is awful.

What's so bad about it? As long as you're not trying to use Metro apps, the only thing that's really different is the start menu. Remove any tiles you don't need and pin your most used programs. You'll end up with a nice looking start menu that's just as efficient (if not more so) as the traditional one.

Just install Windows 8 and not 8.1

Check your specific warranty. The problem is that you may have some issues if you go to return it if running windows 7 even if it doesnt void the warranty. Ive heard of one incident involving Linux where someone had issues with a hardware fault.

At the very least have a backup of the hdd and/or recovery media.

Btw if the ui is an issue check out classic shell.

If you download classic shell which is free you can pretty much make it like Windows 7, but have all the improvements from 8, stuff runs faster.

Did you think about reading your warranty? lol

Also, probably no. Your warranty is fine.
