Then go to Best Buy/Microcenter/whatever and ask for something with a Intel i3 processor (for emulation), a 7200RPM HDD, and 4GB of RAM (for responsiveness). And make sure they don't squeeze more than $500 out of you ;)

edit: here's some random one that matches the criteria:

First PCs have the most exclusives of any platform, this is not something to be argued about, this is fact.

Second, if you don't care about gaming, it really doesn't matter what kind of PC you get, it's not like pornhub and microsoft word are that resource intensive.

^ Yes...you....do.

no I don't. I really only use my pc for school and emulation. I get a ps4 for games, powerful hardware, and its price. I know pcs are more powerful but they are also more expensive and have less exclusives. I do understand why you play on pc though

Pc's cost more up front but in the long term for gaming are cheaper.

I understand why certain people prefer pc I just prefer console gaming because of the great exclusives and larger community. I also prefer controllers to keyboard and mouse.

Don't go to a gaming related PC message board and not expect to get recommendations on getting a gaming related computer

Building isn't too hard. A little confusing, but everything fits into slots so it isn't too hard to see where everything goes.

If you don't want to take the effort to build a PC, which you should, get a prebuilt or a laptop. Just remember it will cost more to get the same machine comparable power-wise

Also, you can use controllers with most games on pc.

It's fine that you prefer consoles. I don't have a problem with that. I just want to point out that Steam is larger than either Xbox Live or PSN and you can use controllers on just about every PC game.
