Planning to OC my I5 2500k but going to need something beyond the stock fan Ive got now. What's a good one to get?

Looks good.
Now considering the thermal paste.

Does it expire? I got some this hanging around. About 2 years old: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007
Does quality vary much between different pastes?

Only applied twice before with different cpus. Always tense over whether I'm using too much or too little. One rice-grain sized drop in the center, right? Is removing the old paste a pain?

This is true. But TC, you should know that you'll need more than a fan to cool a CPU.

I do. Just more tired than I thought -_-
I conflated 'Fan' with 'Heatsink'.
