that's it? Hell i run Bing rewards and get exactly 250 in amazon gift cards in less than 30 days and it takes little to no power doing so.

I only get $25/month. ;_;

at the current exchange rates, if you mined using half the power of your gpu(so that you can browse and do otherstuff with your pc). And if you did it non stop for a month, you'd gain $100 in litecoin.

Now this is assuming the price doesn't skyrocket(or plummet).

wow all these people buying 7950's for 400 a pop are gonna be sorely dissapointed lmao

The thing is, the price for Litecoin is at a low and its going to rise astronomically(was at $22 when I posted now its $25 and Its been just a few hours)

The price was at $40 just a few days ago. So that means that whatever they mine now, the value is probably going to double very soon. Wait a year and who knows the price for litecoin may be at $100 a coin, or $1000 like how bitcoin astrnomically raised in value.

That means that $100 they made in one month would turn to $1,000 or 10,000. Now imagine if they had done that for 6 months. Or a year? Imagine if they used two 7950s instead of 1? Imagine if someone was using their 7950 at full power instead of half strength?

It looks like there is still profit to be made in litecoin mining.

Bitcoin mining however looks almost worthless right now

obviously the only way to cash in on future value is to not cash in what you have made, so in that case they didnt make 100 dollars, they made 0

so you buy the equipment and spend all this time / power in the hopes that in one year from now youll make money. thats quite a gamble.

It is. But all investment is risky in some whay or another. Nonetheless, you won't see me going out buying any extra overpriced mining equipment for thousands of dollars

But seeing how I have a 7950 already, I might as well mine and get my feet wet. and I have a 5770 up in my closet. I might break that out too and mine on both of them to at least try and take advantage of this while I can.

I am also, selling my 7950 for $450. I'll just put about $50 of the profit I make on that into bitcoin just to see where the investment goes. And I'll save the rest or upgrade my card to a GTX 770 or other comparable card in the $400 range

So im debating if its worth doing this. I leave my pc on all day and night anyways.

What are the pros and cons of doing this, since I have 0 clue?

Also, I have a 7950

How are you making that much? maybe you mean 2 dollars and fifty cents, rather than 250 dollars.

How are you doing this? On an average day, I can get a max of about 16 points. $5 Amazon gift cards are 475 points with a gold account, so that's about 1.5 a point. That's about $7.20 a month. What do you have, like 30 accounts?
