It depends on what your needs are if you don't have an FM2 motherboard I would go with either the FX 4300 or 6300 the problem with the 750k is it has no L3 Cache or no Turbo core which makes the CPU bad if you plan on doing any kind of video editing of your games, but if you don't plan to do any of that and just want to play PC games on medium or high settings I think it will do just fine.

Actually, it does have turbo core, and Socket FM2 doesn't work eith 4300 or 6300... FM2 is the low-end APU board.
750k is all 'round worse than 955, and costs as much as 6300. It's just a stupid buy.

That's why he said if you don't have an FM2 mobo you should go with a 4300/6300.And the 750k is $30-50 cheaper than a 6300 depending on whatever deals are going on that day. The 750k is $80, and the cheapest I have seen a 6300 for is $110.

It's not bad performance for only $80 at all, don't know why you're so against it.

I'm seeing it for over $100 on a quick google search. For $80, it's not terrible.

It trades blows with an i3, so I think it is definitely strong for the price.

This guys benchmarks show that with a mid range GPU, theres not a huge difference between the 750k and the 4670k when it comes to gaming.

It's really not bad for someone on an extreme budget at all.
