I'm asking this because CE is too busy and the PC board deals a lot with online so why not?

The channel deals with PC issues, so i thought it might be a good time to link it with AdSense and put an address for $$. But how can I do that?

Thanks in advance!

make a good video that gets lots of views, wait for youtube to send you a message saying they'd like to whore you out for money and just follow the instructions.

Go to youtube settings -> View additional features

There should be an option to monetize there

b-b-but i have no clue how to link it to Adsense!

Make one.

Unless you're regularly putting up videos that are getting 5-digit views, the money you'll make will be pretty insignificant.

Like I said earlier, if you get enough views, Google will send you a message asking you to sign up and then it's a matter of following directions. Can you follow directions? If not, then you should probably give up right now. (But then again if you can't follow directions then you're definitely not going to give up because I told you. It's a paradox!)

Also, I don't know the exact step by step instructions to tell you because I've never done it (though I HAVE received the message saying I could monetize those videos that managed to get popular).

Why does it have to be the old channel? Is there something special about it? I guarantee if you somehow got a bunch of subscribers on your old channel and you make crappy content they're just going to unsubscribe. If you make good content then it doesn't matter if it's a new channel or not... If you really think your subscribers will care, Post an announcement to the effect of "I'm starting up a new channel that is made for (whatever you are going to do for content)" and the people who wouldn't unsubscribe would subscribe to your new channel.

If you lost access to the email that the old channel was made with, it may not be possible for you to monetize it anyway. I think being able to receive emails is something of a requirement.
