Isn't this how it goes?

8 was bad
7 was awesome
Vista was bad
XP was awesome

a little farther back ...

ME was bad
98SE was awesome.

You forgot Windows 2000. For sure throws a wrench into things as it was top notch.

You know you could fix the windows 8 start screen by making the background behind the tiles semi transparent so you can see your desktop and running programs in the background.
Then you wouldn't feel like all your stuff just closed, but instead that a large window has appeared over top of them.

It does, as you may as well act like ME didn't exist.

But from XP onwards the tick tock cycle has been pretty consistent.

^exactly. you people can sit behind your computer screens all you want and say how everyone who does NOT like 8 is an idiot but guess what.

COMPANIES CARE ABOUT THE MULA!!!!

No my little friend, at the end of the day it's where the money is coming from and windows 8 ain't getting any, so MS is dumping it like some ugly stepchild.

Doesn't matter. Companies adhere to the lowest common demoninator. I think Windows 8 is a OS that is not made for desktops. Companies go where the money is and it says that Windows 7 is still Boss

Doesn't matter man if it makes you feel better calling us idiots and saying we hold back technology good for you. It doesn't change the fact that people vote with their money.

Then Windows 9 will come out and just be 8 with some tweaks and people will love it.

And you can't comprehend that......COMPANIES CARE ABOUT THE MONEY. You can defend Windows 8 all you want but Microsoft cares about the majority, and the majority still seems to prefer windows 7 so have fun.
