What would save Windows 8 in your opinion?

I am using windows 8.1, and I enjoy it better than I did any other version. It feels snappier, and the start menu actually makes things look more appealing. Instead of a cluttered desktop of icons I have this

I used 8 for the last month, give or take, and had no issues until I tried to run a few different games on Steam that crashed immediately. This was unacceptable, and I've been using 7 since then.

Things have already been set in motion.

Intel's Baytrail parts have over a hundred design wins and many of those are presumably Windows tablets running full windows 8.1. Intel plans on spending $1 billion to subsidize their Atom processors so that OEMs will be able to cut costs, incentivizing the production of Windows tablets, and as new Windows tablets flood the market, the mainstream consumers are going to take notice and they're going to start buying.

There are already a handful of excellent, affordable Windows 8.1 tablets out, like the Dell Venue 8 Pro and ASUS T100. Wintel is still a powerful alliance, so it's just a matter of time. Oh, and AMD's supposedly planning something big for their next-gen x86 ultramobile APUs (beema and mullins).

I have some minor gripes about it, but I still use it and have no major complaints... it works, it's faster than 7, it does basically everything 7 could, so what would need improved?

I'd play more MMOs if there was no chat.

You know what would fix it? stop sucking a** so f***ing much.

Its as simple as that, M$ messed up by even letting it exist. If I had my way I would destroy every copy of windows 8 where no one would have to suffer with the f***ing abomination.

Make a New windows OS - Windows 9

One that runs like Windows 7 AND 8 (if the person wants to use it like that).

Nothing at all. Windows 8 was fine - in fact it utilised resources better than 7, which worked great already. Been using 8.1 now for a few months, and it's been great. I didn't have an issue with Windows 8 and the whole 'no start bar' debacle, but 8.1 is a nice improvement.

Haven't had any issue running games on Windows 8 or 8.1 yet. It's been rock solid too.
