I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING. MY CHOICES ARE MADE SOLELY ON REVIEWS AND HOW COOL THE NAME SOUNDS
CPU

AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor $109.99

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

MSI Z77A-G43 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card

Asus Xonar DG 24-bit 96 KHz Sound Card

LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

BenQ GW2255 60Hz 21.5" Monitor

Gigabyte GM-M6900 Wired Optical Mouse

Max of $700 (first build so I can't get too crazy)

Remember this is not about how good my build is, but how bad it is.

Also, I already have an AXT NZXT Mid tower case

Maybe you should state your maximum budget first

That build isn't master race, that's less than a console.

Your CPU and motherboard aren't compatible. I suggest doing a little more research before even attempting to configure your PC.

if you had bought parts on black friday (like you should have) you could have had a much better computer for $640. I built this for my friend on black friday:

fx-8320 processor
sapphire dual-x 7870ghz edition graphics
asus 970 mobo
1tb seagate hdd
bitfenix shinobi window case (really nice case btw)
8gb g skill sniper ram
rosewill 630 watt PSU
windows 7

total was $640, or $570 after rebates

but anyway, shoot for something similar to that...

What type of games are wanting to play? Strategy, FPS, Indie, etc. It helps to know what you're into so the parts can be picked, as Strategy games relies heavily on a CPU, so does MMO type games. Indie games can be played on a toaster, FPS mostly needs a more beefier graphics card.

Your budget is $700, that's going to be rather hard considering you're trying to budget a monitor into that.
If you have a TV with HDMI, or a pc port, you could use that until you get more money for a display.

Edit: To save costs and put money into what matters, you can drop the audio card as well, onboard audio is fine until you want to spend more and upgrade, unless you're anal about audio over graphical power

Buying a PC with a monitor is like buying a console with a TV. It's going to be expensive to buy everything together. $700 wont really cut it, right now.

Maybe wait and get a steambox and use it on your TV?
