I bought it on 360 at midnight release as well as the dlc but just curious if it's worth playing on the PC. I remember seeing a graphic mod that made the game look photo realistic and now that I got the 770 about a month ago I think I can run it without any trouble
It depends. If you feel like replaying it anyway, it might be fun to do that on PC with the MODs. It often goes on sale, and you should be able to pick it up for under 10 bucks.
However, if you already played the game and don't necessarily feel like replaying it, then I doubt there is enough difference in the PC version to make a complete play-through interesting. . --- I5 3570 | GTX 760 | FILCO Majestouch 2 tenkeyless | Zowie FK | Asus Xonar DGX | Kingston 120 GB SSD | Sennheiser HD 518 | Samsung S24A350H
should redirect you.. can't give you a direct link since it auto directs me to the UK store.
oh and it should say it uses steam(does on the UK store)... if not then avoid. --- PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy. http://i.imgur.com/E5CYOem.png
If it's quite cheap, I'd say get it. It's a small price to enjoy again your beloved game with prettier graphics. I'm pretty sure there's already a mod that strips GFWL from the game already anyway. Regardless, I have a hard time believing that if there are any required check-ins that Microsoft won't keep a few servers around for the authentication process indefinitely. They've engendered so much bad will with the whole XBone unveiling fiasco among other things that if people suddenly were unable to play GTA IV on the PC because they completely eliminated their crap DRM service, there would be a pretty significant uproar. --- This signature will not change until the St. Louis Cardinals win the World Series.
