Which is the oldest game you have played on your PC?

While it wasn't on my current PC, the first PC game I ever played was probably Alone in the Dark when I was like six or seven. Or maybe Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Both were 1992, by the way.). Besides those, I've played a number of LucasArts point-and-clicks via ScummVM, and I got the original Tomb Raider up and running on DOSBox once.

Ghostbusters on my Commodore 64, so... 1988ish.

Is that the one that ended with you trying to get past the marshmallow man who was jumping about in front of the building? because that was ****ing impossible.

Yes and YES it was

Yeah. That was just cheap but games were like that back then. I suppose it added replay value because if you failed (and you had like a quarter of a second window to not fail) you had to go right back to the start of the game.

Lol not a PC but when I was a kid there was this circus game for my Mac on a floppy. You got to count numbers and junt and you threw darts at balloons and something about a seal and a trapeze. Classic.

Was there one where you had to time a car perfectly through some traffic lights? If so I remember playing that on an Apple 2 at school around 1996-7. That and Crystal Quest.

I have some blurry memories of myself playing some green screen game where you have to press Z and / or soemthing to jump up up some rocky cavern and escape.

Did some googling the the device seems to be an Amstrad cpc. Im only 23 mind, and that thing, according to wiki was discontinued on the year i was born. I must have been 4 or 5 when i played it.

"What do you do"
turn left
"You die horribly"
turn right
"You die even more horribly"

First actual game I played by myself though, not at school or anything would probably be....ultima 1. I remember a lot of games from back then, like something King's Tale that this girl's dad had that I would play on his computer.

First game I actually owned for my own computer would be the old DOS game Full Throttle.

Wow i cant believe i finally found it. Everytime someone brings up a topic like this, i remember playing this game on the green screen monitor but fail to find out the name for it. I dont think i ever knew the name of the game. Tried quite a few times looking real hard with no results.

Finally got it now. Its Roland in the Caves. Beast of a game, i dont think i ever got past the first level.

on my current laptop, probably just starcraft (1998).

I have played games from the 80s, in the 80s, though.
