i know z97 is for the 5th gen intel processors but will they work with 4th gen?
if 5770k isn't a big jump from 4770k i'm going to keep it but upgrade to a higher end z97 board
i think it's nice

Nope, I think those are designed for the Skylake processors.

My mistake, yes it is since it is designed for Broadwell, not Skylake, probably DDR4 support but not sure.

5770k is not a big jump

it's simply a die shrink and it's more than possible they **** that up and it clocks lower

DDR4 will only be on X99 in 2014 - that is if X99 releases in 2014
