Help! Did I make a purchase mistake?

I bought a 2,5 Wd scorpio blue hardrive for my m18x r2. When I installed it would not show up at all then I took the housing out and I realized that there are 4 small connector pins on the right side of the drive connector but on the hardrive that is already in the laptop there are no 4 pins. Did I buy the wrong kind of hardrive?

Help! There was already a drive in my laptop and I just wanted to add a second drive but on the second drive there are 4 pins that don't connect to anything. There are no 4 pins on the original hardrive. So did I order the wrong type of hardrive or something? The hardrive slides into the slots but the 4 pins dont connect to anything and the harddrive does not show up at all.

The 4 pins sound like a Molx connector for power? Have you purchased a desktop HDD?

Can we have a link to your purchase?
