So video card prices are up.

I bought my Twin Frozr 7970 Back in September for I believe a little less than $400.

They seem to be selling for 599.99 used now.

Would now be a good time to sell?

that doesn't make sense to me.

how can video card prices be going up rather than down?

Just Radeon cards, not all video cards.

So should I sell my card and wait for prices to normalize again or just stick with what I've got. I've mostly been playing indies lately. I think HD4600 can handle those.

Sell it and wait for the 800 series to drop in Winter / Spring 2014 to either buy then or buy a cheaper 700 series.

Tons of people have been selling their Radeons 7950 or 7970 on eBay or Craigslist at inflated prices, you can give it a shot if you feel like dealing with it. Just make sure whatever money you end up getting minus eBay fees enables you to buy something new.

I didn't even think about the fact that 780 dropped, if I can sell my 7970 for a good chunk I could get one, and probably a second when they drop in price again.

I wonder if this litecoin thing as orchestrated by AMD and Nvidia.

Honestly if I had a 7950 or something similar, I would sell it and buy a card that performs better in games. This bitcoin craze is not going to last, might as well exploit it while you can.

Ok got it on craigslist next is Ebay. Wish me luck gentleman. Should I settle for a 780 or try for a 780ti? Or is waiting for new cards really worth it?
