7 Days to Die seems more involved - building stuff, animals, food/water, etc.

DayZ has permadeath, and I'm extremely interested to see how that changes the way everyone plays.

I'm torn :(

DayZ has always had perma death and that's one of the reasons people have enjoyed it so much. People just shoot on sight 9/10 times and that 1 person that doesn't will most likely go that route soon enough after they're killed enough times.

If you want to play DayZ as a coop game then only play with people you know. You may on a very, very rare chance make a new friend in DayZ. But even then the people who may take their time to add you on Vent or Skype are most likely manipulating you so that they can backstab you a couple of hours later and then block you from communications. This happens all the time.

If they run at all they will be almost unplayable.

QFT.

Either way, IMO DayZ is FAR superior to 7D2D. I really tried to get into 7D2D but it just didn't click for me--there are plenty of reasons (clunky movement, terrible animations, ALL zombies know where you are at night etc...) but a lot of them can be associated with DayZ as well. However, DayZ has a certain charm that is DEFINITELY lacking in 7D2D--IMO, of course.

Well, dang. My only option then is to hope a PS4 version of DayZ gets made :(

Playing DayZ with a controller would be equivalent to hooking jumper cables to your nipples and turning the dials to max--IMHO, of course.

I know, but it's the only alternative I've got. Don't have the money for a better laptop or desktop.
