It's a bug in newer GeForce drivers. You'll have to disable decals until they fix it.

Try this. They'll never fix it probably.

Alright, how do I disable decals? Is it an in-game setting?

It does kind of look like an artifact. Do you have anything like Virtu enabled? That can cause those kind of artifacts in some games.

If that's not the case try verifying the game's integrity on Steam.

Virtu??

I'll try verifying! :D

If you don't know what Virtu is you probably don't have it. Screen tearing fixer without capping framerate, comes built in to some mobos but you need software to activate it. I know it made Crysis Warhead artifact like crazy for me.

No, it has nothing to do with screen tearing:

Yeah my game does that, too, TC, and my GPU is fine. This isn't just a problem with newer Nvidia drivers because I'm using 314.22 and that driver's hella old

Well, in this case any supposed screen tearing mitigation is not a primary function of the program, the primary function is to enable using discrete/integrated graphics where appropriate for the task at hand.

It's definitely a primary function. Anyone who uses it knows it's the most useful one it has; it gets rid of screen tearing without capping the framerate or inducing input lag.

Seems I get the other version of the error, where the game just crashes all the time. It stops crashing if you turn decals off. Weird.
