How's this build?

I'm not trying to run Crysis 3 on ultra or anything like that but I'm thinking that the graphics card might be too expensive?

Is there anything I could replace to bring cost down too about $700 with tax?

I'd like to be able to run dolphin and play games like skyrim for a awhile without having to upgrade eventually.

You can go with a cheaper PSU and case. A 500W version of that PSU would be like $15-$20 less. A decent cheaper case can cost like $40-$50. Drop the wifi unless you absolutely need it.

Good tips above .CD writer and wifi adapter could get dropped. you're paying way too much for a case, and the PSU is more than you'll need.

But also, look for a good deal on a factory refurbished card. You could probably save $50 and get the same card or better.

Also you will have to upgrade this build regardless if you get all the parts that currently on your list.

My advice to you keep saving.

Good, cheap case.

Same PSU but less wattage

I can vouch for both parts because I actually own both of them. PSU is fine for a single GPU set up. As for the case, cable management sucks...but I'm not one of these people that cares about how the insides look. It's got good air flow and plenty of spots for fans. It's large enough to fit some of the biggest GPU cards. Well built. And it's tool-less.

You might be able to get those for cheaper if you shop around some, but those are viable alternatives to what you want.

Got a case $40 cheaper, what should I do with video card?
Should I get cheaper one or get a cheap psu?

I still want to be able to run skyrim and dolphin decently.

I don't know about Dolphin, but my 7850 runs Skyrim pretty well. Not completely maxed, but damn near everything on high and 2x AA at 1080p 60FPS with the Bethesda HD texture pack and a couple mods (pouches, SkyUI..nothing crazy).

So base what you want on that.
