I don't need a powerful gpu or console because my 120hz tv makes up for low fps

...but why bother when anything above 35 fps will look sped-up unless proper motion blur is used?

Even moreso than Tim? Dang bro, that's harsh.

I forget what your talking about, you aren't talking about the TimDD right?

I've got no issues with him.

TimInTheHall

The only possible thing I can think that could make anyone think I have anything against KidInTheHall would be me making a bad pun about his name about a year ago. But no, I actually have him (as well as you and the TC of this thread actually) labeled as 'PCH MASTER RACE' because I view their posts as above average compared to most of GameFaqs.

I'm pretty sure runrom made this thread sarcastically joking about the posts on the PS4 system boards where people suggest that you purchase 120Hz displays for their consoles.

We do know that, we also know that adding more identical frames to something does make it smoother. It is exactly the same as the 24,30 or 60 fps on a 24, 30 or 60Hz screen. You cannot make extra frames. The input signal is the output signal, displaying 60Hz, but with 2 frames for every frame does not magically turn it into 120Hz.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with "identical frames". Unless I'm heavily mistaken, I thought 120hz tvs use frame interpolation when multiplying the frame rate. So it does end up creating extra frames, but the question really is whether those extra frames are actually a benefit depending on their quality. That and lag.

You guys know that a 120hz TV will take a 24, 30, or 60 fps signal and multiply it to get 120 right? I am not saying it is as good as running at native 120, but what he is saying is not incorrect, despite trolling attempts.

Maybe he actually did know this, and that was the troll all along :P

Glorious. I didn't know this.

Please, tell me more.
