I spent about $1000 to build my new PC last year, and I spent about an additional $1500 this year. And yes, I did spend too much, but I do love it, so I guess it evens out.

I like my pc, I really do, but at times, I feel like I spent too much and its still missing something.

Intel.

This 8350 has ran everything flawlessly

I guess you don't play dolphin or pcsx2?

Never liked the PS2 and I could care less for anything short of a DS emulator. So some reason, most gamecube and wii games just werent for me.

I'm just playing around. But you could've spent less on the CPU cooler. 4.8 GHz really isn't necessary.

That is a pretty bad build.

I know 4.8ghz seems like a bit much, but its running cool and smooth as butter. I will eventually try to get it to 5 or over, but its super stable right now.

How so, let me guess the "amd CPU' right?

Should have gone Intel over AMD.
Should have gone with an Asus. Gigabyte or MSI mobo.
You only need 8GBs of RAM if you are gaming and you did not go dual-channel.
Could have gotten a bigger HDD for around the same price.
Could have gotten GTX 780 for only $50 more.
PSU is overkill, you only need 500W for a single card.

He did -- two pairs of slots, each pair running in dual channel mode. I wouldn't have bought 4x4 GB either (2x8 GB would be a better idea) but it'll run in dual channel either way.

The 8350 was $170 on a sale months ago.
And whats wrong with asrock? No everything has to be from a big name brand
I had 8 and it was fine. Going another 8 on a good sale. I didnt get all 16 gigs at the same time
The HDD size is plenty so far, so im not fretting over it since its scavenged from an older build
For the price to performance, paying extra for an nvidea card just didnt seem right
The psu is almost 2 years old and still powering everything just fine.

I would have gotten a 780. You can get them from newegg right now for ~450 with the masterpass deal. Little overkill on the fans, gonna be pretty loud especially with that 290. I also hate your case, mouse, and KB but that's pretty subjective. All in All pretty nice build.
