F***ing piece of s*** forum perm ban me how can I change ip address

#1TheChosen0ne-Posted 12/19/2013 1:12:47 AM
The site is realgm and it's a sports forum mainly for basketball. The scumbag admin probably has small nuts so he's insecure and paranoid about users so he bans people for stuff that would only get a 3 karma loss on gamefaqs. And no, I am not overreacting. If any of you have been to that site before you'll know I am telling the truth. Also there is no second chance. Once you banned you can never come back on that ip address. I read that you could unplug modem overnight but the problem is my cable modem and wireless router are in a room with people I don't get along with so that isn't an option. Could I call comcast and ask them to change it for me? Or any other way to do this without unplugging anything overnight?

Unplugging your modem would only cause your IP address to change if you have a dynamic IP. If your IP is static, you will have to contact your ISP and ask for them to change it. The only other way to change your IP address is to use a VPN or proxy. Technically this doesn't actually change your address, it just tunnels the traffic through the VPN, but it's effectively the same thing.

how can we tell which one we have again?

You have to pay extra for a static IP so there's almost no chance you have a static IP (unless you're on a business line and you need the static IP for that).

I was banned two years ago for trolling. I do admit I was trolling but that was it. I said nothing racist, homophobic, no uncensored cussing, not even a little bit cussing, etc. I just went to another nba team's forum and since they were talking crap about my favorite team I returned the favor.

From the title of this thread and the rant within, I wouldn't want you on my forums.

Just my opinion tho.

That's too bad for them. You just can't ban someone forever especially when people didn't do anything that bad to deserve a perm ban.
