Steam ( No Card Drops Remaining?)

#1QUIKPosted 12/19/2013 11:55:30 AM
I have over 200 hours in skyrim and only have 3 cards collected on steam.
But it sais No Card Drops Remaining? does that mean even if I continue to play it I wont get any more cards? I really want to get cards for that game but I don't know how without trading?

you only get half the set from card drops, for example: a game with 6 cards, you'd get 3, or a game with 5 cards, you'd get 3 as well

Yup, by trading or buying from the marketplace.

I think you can randomly get an item that lets you collect more cards. Every time someone crafts a badge in a game you're playing at the moment. Or something like that.

Personally I've just made a bunch of badges from trading.

once you hit the "no card drops remaining" for a game you have a slight chance that you'll get a random award of a "booster pack" for that game. Basically though, these freebie cards go to the highest levels more often than the lower levels. There MIGHT be a slightly inflated chance of getting one of these this sale though because they are awarded any time someone crafts a badge....

Meaning: someone crafts the winter sale badge, and that generates a random drop of a booster pack for someone else.

These booster packs only have 3 cards in them, and it could be a foil card in the pack too...

Nah... booster packs are on a per-game basis. The more "game x" badges are crafted, the more "game x" booster packs get generated (not necessarily on a 1:1 ratio... I don't think anyone knows the exact formula), to regulate the amount of cards in circulation.
Winter badges being crafted won't generate booster packs.

I thought you only had a chance for the free booster packs, etc. once you've actually crafted the very first badge. Until then, you have to trade/buy on your own.

^ Nope. As long as you got all of the card drops (half the set size rounded up), you're eligible.

Nope just collected all the 'freebie' cards. I believe I have snagged a couple booster packs for games I have no badges in.
