CS for the original HL was amazing back in the day and was one of the first online games I played )along with Tibia but lets not talk about that one haha). Is GO and Source still active? I would love to play that game again :)

Both are active. GO is a better game though. I'm really, really enjoying it. And I'm kind of surprised. I was all ready to stick with Source until it died.

GO unless you want to play crazy modded stuff. Although Garry's mod is better for that kind of stuff than both.

all of the counter strike communities are still active which is pretty ridiculous. might as well get GO though if you have semi-recent hardware for it. also its only $3.74 on steam right now

GO, but Source is important for Garry's Mod and maybe some other stuff.

I have not touched source since I bought GO a month after release. Not that I played source a whole great deal at that point, but GO really got me back into CS.
