The longer I use my laptop, the more it starts to lag until it's almost unusable.

If I leave my laptop asleep overnight, play a demanding PC game/watch a stream/listen to music/do anything that requires alot of power, or simply use my laptop for a long enough period of time...

The laptop starts taking forever to do anything. Open applications, etc. Even though my internet connection is perfectly fine, websites take ages to open up and it takes forever to browse or load anything.

Once I reset/shut down the computer, everything is fine. The laptop works as normal, the internet is blazing fast....until I do one of the things above again.

Ccleaner or any of those programs seems to have no effect on this problem.

Why is this happening?

Things could be adding up and taking up all your RAM and may not be closing properly.

You also may have a virus that is taking up all of your resources in the background.

That, or if your hard drive is severely fragmented, you will run into issues especially with load-times.

Have you done a defrag recently?

I have some program called advanced system care that apparently defrags when it cleans up my computer when I use it every week along with ccleaner. (I have no idea what that means).

If that's what you meant, then yes, I have done it recently and it had no effect on the problem.

I have this but I haven't used it yet.

Isn't it only supposed to be used for games? Won't it drain all my computer resources if I have it running 24/7 simply browsing the internet?

Gamebooster used to be iObit game booster, then it was going to go paid so Razer bought it (THATS JUST A FUN FACT)

anyway
all it is, is a RAM freeing program, I guess because it closes stuff it helps the CPU too...
But really all it does is just close a load of programs. You can select what ones it closes.

I see. I guess I'll give it a try.

Testing out Game Booster, it doesn't seem to be helping much.

The "system care" you have might actually be a virus.

If it is a virus, it sure is a helpful virus. It does all that ccleaner does and lets me see diagnostic info for my laptop in real time.

But I'll take your advice and delete it.
