Mount and Blade Warband is easily the best choice.

Crusader Kings 2, Civilization 5 and Dark Souls are distant runner ups and all amazing games.

I think Rebirth is getting some patches. From what I hear, there's the potential for a good game beneath the exterior; Egosoft just needs to polish the game some more.

How dare none of you even mention the best strategy series on the PC??

TC, get the Total War series. It is simply fantastic and uses quite a bit of time. It's so addicting that you can spend hours without even realizing it.

I dunno about hundreds of hours of content, but if you take your time and replay them a few times: Dragon Age (with all DLC and some mods), Xcom with enemy within, and uuuhh... The Deus Ex games? Maybe that's just me replaying the hell out of them.
