My mouse was looking kinda gross so I wiped it down with rubbing alcohol

Now it's so slick I can't hold on to it D:

How fix? And to be clear, I didn't strip off a protective finish or anything, it just has a slick finish on the sides and apparently the grime was beneficial to my grip, it's the only time I've wiped it with more than a dry paper towel in the 3-4 years I've owned it. The top is a rubberized matte finish so it's still usable but it doesn't feel right at all.

Coat it and sugar water and let it dry. It will give you a great grip.

IMO next time use something like Windex.

I absolutely hate when my mouse, keyboard, and controllers feel greasy or anything like that and that crap works well on those items without screwing up the feel of them, even with rubber coats like my G400 mouse has.

Isopropyl alcohol can break things down, which is why it is recommended for removing thermal paste.

Is this safe? I hate that greasy feeling on a keyboard too but I've never thought about using something like that, I figured it would make it worse

That's a waste of Tequila though. Not like you can drink isopropyl.
