They charge taxes when they have a facility located in state. So if where's a warehouse they ship from in say...Tennessee (which I think they do) then people in Tennessee pay whatever local sales tax.

Which sucks, they're building a warehouse here in Florida, so that means in a year I'll have to pay the sales taxes when I buy crap from them now.

Use tax, bro. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_tax

If you buy a taxable item outside Florida and bring or have it delivered into this state and you didn't pay sales tax on the item, you owe use tax.

Pay your taxes.

**** that. They can come and get it.

Not to be a buzz kill here, but when you file your income taxes on the US there's a section where you're supposed to add up what you've bought online without taxes, them the taxes come out of your refund.

Most people don't do it, and it's a moot point on some states now that Amazon charges taxes.

Taxes is why Canada has the number 1 economy in the world. We have basically no dept compared to our neighbors to the south,,, Also these taxes pay for your free healthcare, Quit complaining.

Ah I see

I have to assume that, that is a picture of you laughing at your own economy. Because America's certainly went down the ****er after 9/11. You are what 20 trillion in Dept now. The world will be laughing when China claims what they own.

Much like Canada, China is wholly dependent on the US economy. Anything they try to do to undermine it will end in their own ruin way before ours. Essentially China needs us more than we need them.

A lot of people don't understand or appreciate that.

Everybody is going around blaming Obama for the state of our economy while literally every single half wit on the internet is robbing our country blind.

You have free healthcare. Stop whining. We Americans are lucky to find medical insurance for that $200. A month.

They get plenty from my paychecks. Especially since it's for crap that I'll never see back, such as Social Security.

Consider us even.

"Free" healthcare isn't free, by the way.

It's gotta get paid for, just like everything else.

and that's probably with a high ass deductible you need to reach before they start covering anything. Ours is like $3500 or something before they start covering a single person and $5000 for a family

and people like me are forced to carry 2 healthcare plans because employers do not wish to cover the spouse

So people like me cannot afford to have 2 healthcare policies so I will be penalized and have a percentage of my annual income taken because I cannot afford healthcare, AND I still will not be covered.

So you Canadians bet not ever complain about taxes. I would gladly pay 18-26% taxes for free healthcare.

I know that feeling, TC. I'm in Ontario with the 13% HST, so costs can get pretty high when buying computer parts.

I never did understand why the US hasn't shifted to Canada's system or even two-tier healthcare. People without money still get treated, and those with money have part of the costs subsidised by the general population and they can still pay for VIP treatment.
