Motor Rock gone from Steam -- that didn't take long...

In case you have not heard of Motor Rock:

I hadn't bought it yet but I looked at my Steam wishlist today and saw that the price of the game wasn't listed... well, looks like you can't buy it anymore.

I was wondering how long before Activision/Blizzard would shut it down which is why I didn't buy it.

According to http://67.227.255.239/forum/showthread.php?t=735719 it's gone from people's libraries.

I can understand removing it from sale, but removing it from people's libraries after they already bought it is pretty crap.

I guess it's OK as long as they get a refund.

This is the danger of an all digital future.
Whether deliberately or through a glitch in the system, any and all the games and such you've bought can be taken away from you through no fault of your own.

Not really. Steam is good about giving proper compensation. This is the only time I've ever seen a game intentionally removed from someones library and it sounds like the game never should've been released to begin with. I'm sure people that bought this game will end up with a full refund.

Games removed by glitch are easy enough to fix. You also have digital receipts or the product key to prove you purchased the game. Steam would not just delete your games without good reason or proper compensation. Their business and their reputation is important to them.

Seems the developer wasn't even warned and doesn't know what's happening.

I don't know about that, but it was $6.99 on Steam.

I don't understand the story behind this. Where did this game come from and what is its connection with Blizzard?
