Titanfall having performance issues at 720p on X1, will it hurt the PC version?

#1Xeeh_BitzPosted 12/24/2013 9:37:07 AM
Do you think the PC release of Titanfall will be gimped due to the stripped down Xbox One version? From this leak, it states the game suffers from performance issues, even at 720P.

http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/12/23/titanfall-ps4-port-was-considered-performance-still-lacking-at-720p-insider-reveals/

It's going to be released in just a few months, so I hope it doesn't delay the PC version or tone it down in anyway because this game is awesome and I can't wait to play it on PC

Well, it's suppose to run at 60FPS on the 360, so...I'm going to give Respawn the benefit of the doubt and assume the PC version (hopefully) won't be a piece of crap port.

xbone is a joke. every game released so far has crap framerate and resolution.

at least ps4 can keep up.. for now.

I hope at the very least they don't go in the "well because we can't get it to run on the xbone, let's make a poor port with grossly inflated requirements" like they've been doing with most "next gen" games.

Seriously. Witcher 2, Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, modded skyrim. You have no excuse to give us ports that require i5s and crap like that.

What are you smoking that makes you think The Witcher 2 was ported to PC? Seriously. Let me get some of that.

It's pretty pathetic how weak the hardware they decided to put into the xbox one. The PS4 may be considerably more powerful, but it's still pretty weak as well.

I don't see how this will effect the PC version. All they need to do to make it run 60fps on X1 is turn down the graphical / effect / AA options. Turn those options back on (or customizable) on PC, and no harm done.

The Witcher 2 wasn't ported to the PC, but it was pretty meh that it was DX9 only

I don't know how anyone can say that about Witcher 2, but BF3 is a significant mention.

Seriously, has anyone who claims BF3 to be a console port, actually played the 360 or PS3 versions of BF3?

BF3 is not a port.
