Are the older NBA titles still worth it for single-player?

The last four prior to 2K14 are 75% off at the moment.

I don't keep up with the sport, so rosters being up-to-date's not that huge a deal-mostly looking for a little variety in my library. Anyone know if any of the career mode additions and whatnot are worth putting down a few more bucks for, or am I okay being a cheapass and going for 2K11 or 2K12?

they are all pretty similar.

personally i think 2k14 > 2k13 > 2k12

but as far as major changes, there arent any really. the physics and smoothness of 2k14 is nice, but there isnt many single player changes.

2k14 was $6 yesterday on GMG so you missed out. But aside from minor differences, roster is the only difference.

On a side note, it is a shame that NBA2k14 is a port of the last gen version instead of the PS4 :(

DRAT

Thanks, though, all. Sounds like 12 or 13 ought to suffice.

I still play 2K11. They haven't made one better since in my opinion. They're just focusing too much on special moves and pretty animations, so the gameplay responsiveness has really suffered.
