PC Master Race opinion on... tablets?

#1XxTwisted26xXPosted 12/26/2013 11:50:22 PM
Whats your thoughts on tablets? To me, I thought they were just oversized phones. However when I borrowed my mom's Galaxy Tablet to study on it was actually pretty useful, but the $700 price tag doesnt justify just for studying.

I always thought the Apple iPad was the lead tablet but just looked up the Samsung Note tablet and it seems to have better specs than the iPad.

If you want to do tablet stuff on a tablet-like device, tablets are a pretty tablet option.

Lots of tablets are better than the ipad. Most apple products are way for you to pay a premium price for a damn logo.

I've had 2 iPads. They have their place, but considering there's only a few games I'm interested in on them, they're not worth it.

Stars & stripes ignorance 101.

Also, master race is displeased at your insolence. If it's an electronic device that has games on it and no way for you to shower our new lord Gaben in money then it is for peasants.

Not to mention it doesn't get console ports. You can't be a REAL PC gamer unless you play ports of games made for another system.

I have two tablets. One of them (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1) I have to my parents because I only ever used it when I traveled, and the other (HP Touchpad) I acquired super cheap during a fire sale and really only use it to mess around with Android.

TLDR: I don't find them all that useful. If you have more use for them, more power to you.

Look up a performance comparison. Despite the "better specs" the ipad performs as well or better than any other tablet on the market with better battery life, better third party support and a much better app market. Not to mention the build quality.

It's not as strong as the tablets that have internal fans, half the battery life, and are thicker and weigh more. But then those are basically laptops.

Superior battery lifespan trained in the fires of hades for endurance. Superior mobility of porn and general browsing all the better to honor the gods of lust and curiousity.

Inferior everything else. Has all the punch of a bb gun and is as compatible to running things mandarin characters would be informing an english population.

As to my opinion on tablets, they are very nice to use. I use my ipad air for almost everything. With a Bluetooth keyboard and apples free works suite, I need nothing else to take notes in class, type up papers or read my textbooks. Only thing I use the desktop for is gaming and watching things. Way more portable than a laptop and just as capable for most things.
