So, my CPU fan just died on me.

Heard it turn off while using the computer. And my temps seem to be rising... So new one I guess?

The thing is, do I raelly need to buy a whole new CPU cooler? Can't I jsut buy the fan only since that's what died?

This is what I got in 2008

You should be able to just buy a new fan.
The possible problem might be if the cooler required special mountings for the fan.

Looking around, I can't seem to find just a replacement fan. I emailed arctic so hopefully they send me a free one or something.

Ok, I was thinking I was needing to find just a cpu fan alone. But I can get a case fan and just like zip tie it or something to my heatsink right?

The cooler has a 6 year warranty so they should replace the fan. A replacement one only costs $6 if they won't.
