All the consoles and PC? I'd like to at least so 720p..

I've got an i7 2500 if that matters at all.

I play a lot of games and would like to stream to twitch for fun so my buddies can watch and stuff.

So an elgato HD isn't good for PC?

If you have an nvidia GPU use Shadowplay. It works great with a very small performance hit.

It's not a PC recording device. I think you would need two computers to get the elgato to record PC.

I have an El Gato Game Capture HD

- It records PS3 gameplay pretty good

- I also use it for my Laptop. Records perfectly, no hit in performance. Only issue is that it doesn't seem to record audio, so I have to use audacity for the recording part, and then sync the audio with the footage in Sony Vegas.

Though apparently there is a way to record both audio and gameplay with an elgato if you have a PC so....

Hmm so what's a very good PC capture device? Also, any webcam suggestions or would any HD camera be fine?

black magic intensity pro (PCI-E x1)

or the

black magic intensity shuttle (USB 3.0)

both work really well for capturing console gameplay or any other input sources you may want to record.

I'd be able to record my stream in real time and audio with this bad boy?

I kind of want to try my hand at doing something like summit1g and have my face on screen along with the twitch chat... I'm noob at this.

Also curious how they throw up like full screen pictures to cover their screens while they switch servers and stuff.

I play all games pretty much all day so id love to stream it for fun.

yeah, u can record ur stream (audio and video) in real time with it. (i have the intensity pro myself).

i dont stream my gameplay on twitch or any other service personally. but i'd reason to guess if u wanted to add ur face and chat to the stream, it would require a web cam as an additional input source to mix with the stream.

prolly wouldnt be that hard to figure out.
