Anyone know if the Oculus Rift is more compatible with nvidia or amd cards?

It's just a display really as far as the graphics cards go. Makes no difference which one you have.

it's not really just a display though. 3D monitors work by showing two different pictures on the same screen and use shutters to block light to the eye that shouldn't receive the image. The Oculus Rift displays 2 different images at the same time.

Not sure if its an issue as this time around there is no shutter effect... you have 2 separate screens more or less. Nvidia has the edge with what is now conventional 3d but I doubt that has any real effect on the oculus. Wait for more opinions though as I have no first hand experience.
