Double your budget and you would be on the lowest end of gaming laptops. Decent ones that won't be obsolete in about a year are $1300.00 and up.

O'rly?

Again: $500

Like my ma always said, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

It's $500!

It is playing at native resolution.

...also, he had a couple of settings on Ultra including textures. You could easily drop a few settings to high and still have a great looking game if you want more FPS.

$500 for a laptop that can run games like BF4 and Crysis 3 with high settings is not something to nit-pick over, especially if that's all you can afford.

How do several posters here not understand that TC needs a very low-powered machine that can game a little? Hell, the mention of DayZ should clue you guys in with the type of gaming performance requested. Hint: it's not that high. An APU solution is fine enough.

On topic, I agree with thegreatsquare's suggestion completely. Doing some checking on NewEgg inventory for similarly priced laptops give you a bunch of laptops that don't come close to the suggested Acer's graphics of the AMD HD 8750M. By far that's the most gaming-capable integrated graphics option in that price range.
