Steam lending question

#1megamanfreakXDPosted 12/28/2013 4:44:23 PM
So how does this feature work?

My friend wants to try out The Last remnant. How do I specifically lend that game to him so it shows up on his library?

You're better off waiting for the feature to get out of beta, since it involves you either giving your friend your account details, or otherwise logging into his machine.

Edit: If you still want to try...

First, both of you need to join this group in Steam. http://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791434636960 They used to invite people but apparently now it's anyone in the group can use the feature.
Next, both of you need to opt-in to the Steam Client Beta under Settings.
Now, you need to give your friend your login info or use something like Teamviewer to do it.
Allow Steam to recognize your friend's computer as a proper login. You need to have Steam Guard enabled already, so if you don't...yeah, not gonna happen.
Now let your friend log back in and try to access a game. It'll give a prompt to alert you, and you can accept it.

And that should do it. Though I will say that I have never done this before, so somebody else can clarify here.
