Help me build a computer for my mommy please.

So she's wanting me to help her out with building a computer soon. Obviously she's not really into games, just the usual computer stuff. Don't really have a budget, but wants at least an i5 and 12g of ram, with 2tb of hdd.
Also I was thinking of showing her the power of an ssd? Is there a way to have everything automatically save to the hdd so she doesn't fill up the ssd with junk?
Anyone care to suggest me a build?

Just build a $400 PC.

If she's just web browsing/watching movies and the normal stuff no need to spend more.

12 GB of ram seems a bit excessive, what would she do with the PC?

She'd honestly be better off with a laptop or tablet.

I just can't recommend a desktop to anyone who isn't running graphical intensive stuff. Without the need for a huge GPU, going for a laptop or tablet gives better flexibility.

Well she has a Macbook.
My mom is stubborn. There's no telling her what to do lol.
She would buy a 2000 desktop just to play facebook.
