Me and my brother want to put a good amount of time into a new game, which of these would you recommend we play?

If 'other', please tell me in comments which we should play and why.

Thanks!

Path of Exile is free and doesn't get boring after a while like Diablo 3 does.

Torchlight 2 is easily mod-able, allows for LAN, and you get to keep your save file unlike the two mentioned above. You don't even need to connect to the internet in any way to play the game.

I honestly don't even know why Titan Quest is on this list.

So:

Path of Exile: Dark atmosphere, online only, free to play.
Torchlight 2: Cartoony, online and offline, moddable, LAN, made by those that made Diablo 1 & 2.
Diablo 3: Cartoony, online only, game is great until you reach lvl. 60 and the nonsensical farming begins.

4 dollars for TQ + expansion right now as a flash sale on steam, go for that.

D3 is leagues behind everything related to diablo atm, torchlight 2 got very dull.

Although I am also having fun with Path of Exile, so out of those, go for either Path or TQ.

Buy TQ Gold as its crazy good deal on steam right now and download Path of Exile later.

TQ is easier to get into, it was at the time the best diablo 2 clone out there and still holds up quite good.
A bit slow at first but once you have some levels behind you its great. The game also makes sense, enemies drop what they can wear and you'll see them wear the unique items.

As much hate as Diablo 3 gets, I still think it's the best in it's genre. I got bored of TQ real fast. At least I got 100 hours in to Diablo 3 ( not nearly as much as Diablo 2, which is why the game "disappoints" ).

Because it's arguably the best game in the loot-RPG genre, and it has 2-player co-op.

Keep in mind that we want something that lasts a long time and has to be online co-op, we don't live together.

I cannot for the life of me see the appeal in Titan Quest. I'm not crazy for the genre, but Torchlight is great and Path of Exile seems enjoyable. Titan Quest... never manages to impress me into buying it. What am I missing?

Wow, the poll gave the results in the exact order I'd recommend. I started playing Titans Quest recently and it's great. Path of Exiole is great too. Torchlight 2 isn't very good but it's ok. Diablo 3 is trash.
