Anyone know of any not-s*** laptops at or under $400?

Well, I managed to push my budget up to $500!

I decided I definitely wanted a touchscreen, so I'm looking at these two:

and

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-E1-572P-6403-15-6-Inch-Touchscreen-Clarinet/dp/B00FS9HVC8/

I know the Acer has better specs, but it also has worse battery life and is a bit bigger. Also, most places seem to put Acer near the bottom as far as brand quality goes. So I leaning towards getting the HP and just adding some RAM down the line if I need to, since it already is significantly better than what I was looking at, and I'd prefer longer battery+smaller PC.

Any opinions?

I would go with the Acer personally. HPs are solidly built but I've never had one that wouldn't burn you if you tried to do more than browse the Internet on it.
