What is the highest FPS you've ever played a game at?

120hz... recently.

Probably played quake or some other older game at 600+ or something as ridiculous at some point.

As a framerate that matters? 144... as a framerate in number only? 500+ on quake 3 (I think).

1,000 or so on custom TF2 maps with ridiculously simple geometry and no other action going on

I hit like 6k FPS or something on the original Crisis. It was a loading screen. Also, Burning Sand 2 got up in the 40-45k range.

For real, 60 FPS. I just cap it there since there's no reason to go higher, really.

So you don't see a difference over 60 or......

Thousands of fps on some Valve games. As to seeing a difference, I can see a small difference between 60-120fps and a huge difference between 30-60fps. I currently game on a 60hz 2560x1440 panel though and got rid of my 120hz.

You wouldn't be able to see a difference once you pass your monitor's refresh rate, so it's pretty irrelevant if you're getting 200FPS or 2 million.
